Tourist Guidance
We used our winter vacation to provide sightseeing guidance for tourists at Xiaoxi Street, but before we actually did that, we made in advance guide tags, printed out the scenic spots we were to talk about, and split into groups to practice.

At first, we didn’t really know how to begin, since most people come here for the foods and have little time to hear our guidance, but most of them were willing to take our survey, so we asked them whether they were willing to allow us provide guidance on Xiaoxi Street. We discovered that it was most productive if we approached those with backpacks on or carrying maps around, since they are usually backpackers here trying to get to know Xiaoxi more in-depth, and are more than happy to receive guidance from us when we approach them. Because we’ve had experience with presentations back at school, we didn’t feel as nervous when we gave our introduction of Xiaoxi to these people.

We met a few backpackers, and a few tourists who were willing to give us the chance to conduct our guiding introduction to Xiaoxi, and we feel thankful for the opportunity they gave us.
