During these few months I felt that I had matured in many ways. Out of all the things we had done, interviewing Changhua City Mayor Mr. Jien-fu Chiu left the deepest impression on me. I remember how nervous I was when all my other team members had asked the mayor their questions and it was finally my turn to ask a few of my own, and how, when I had asked my questions I also, I felt that kind overwhelming sense of relief one feels after accomplishing something. Talking to a mayor certainly isn’t easy!
When I first became a guide for Xiaoxi, I was afraid of approaching tourists to give guidance, but thanks to my friends’ persistent urging, I was able to make up my mind and give it a try. Initially I did not think that any tourists would agree to listening to our guidance, but rather surprisingly, they actually did. It was quite a special day for me, an unforgettable moment during which I was able to approach and give guidance to tourists.
